Inspired by spending lots free time with my grandparents growing up; learning sewing, knitting and woodwork, I have always loved having a creative spark to my soul. My creativity flourished into secondary school, studying textiles and performing arts; before leaving the creative industry behind to work in healthcare.
I became passionately interested within mental health, and later teaching art and crafts as a therapeutic approach to helping people live a positive life. My creative spark reignited as I taught myself crochet, whilst delivering and deeply enjoying sharing my skills in group sessions. I later learnt illustration; creating imaginative designs which have inspired some of my amigurumi characters.
Alongside my freelance work as a community arts tutor; creating an online hub with my own creations and designs more people could enjoy always makes me excited!! With my love for mint tea and memories of my grandparents’ garden of herbs and numerous vegetables, Mintilla was finally launched.
The sheer happiness felt behind each new creation always drives my work; feeling excited and motivated with every design. If my designs can bring so much joy in my own life, it makes me happy knowing my work might make someone else smile. I feel humble I am able to share my work with you, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do designing them.
